It’s time to celebrate "Building Community"! GVCA’s biennial Building Excellence Awards recognize two very important aspects of the ICI construction industry:
- exceptional construction projects built by GVCA members; and
- the GVCA members who are leaders and innovators in their field.
This is your chance to celebrate and be acknowledged for your team's exceptional work and most remarkable achievements. Details of each type of submission can be found on the form below.

Category Definitions:
Project - an industrial, commercial or institutional project based on budgets.
Restoration or Conversion - for the restoration/conversion or adaptive re-use of a building that makes a profound contribution to a neighborhoods’ character, diversity , and sense of identity.
Innovation & Sustainability - relates to the complexity of the building project and the innovative processes and/or products used.
Community Leader - A person or a company that promotes culture and diversity in the workplace and/or gives back to the community in meaningful ways.
Women Empowerment Award - Honoring the trailblazers who empower and inspire women in the construction industry, the 2025 Women Empowerment Award celebrates excellence and leadership.
Skilled Trades - Recognizing exceptional workers in skilled trades, this award celebrates those who lead with expertise and inspire future generations.
